The new story they live is different and extremely funny.

A melting paradise of water parks, geysers and tar pits is the new world where the animals live, and they are delighting that new world. But that scenary is there because the Ice Age is coming to an end.

When Manny, Sid and Diego discover that the miles of melted ice will flood their valley, they must warn everyone and somehow figure out a way to escape the coming deluge, then we have hundreds of funny scenes and a marvellous movie.
